What makes an account eligible for the program.
For an account to qualify, it must be:
- Created through Opteo Portal — accounts set up outside of Portal aren't eligible, no exceptions.
- Genuinely net-new — the client's domain must not have previously advertised on Microsoft Ads within the eligibility period. Reactivations of old accounts don't count.
- Not registered or billed in France — accounts in France are excluded from the programme.
- Not linked to another Microsoft channel partner — the account must be exclusively managed through Opteo's connection. No other channel partner links.
- Actively maintained each quarter — at least one material change must be recorded in the account's Microsoft Ads change history every calendar quarter. An account that goes quiet won't stay eligible.
- Billed directly to the client — monthly invoicing and credit line billing are not eligible. The bill-to must be the client, not the agency. If the agency is on the billing, Microsoft treats it as an agency account rather than a net-new advertiser, which disqualifies it from the programme.
Eligibility window
Each account is eligible for the program over a fixed window, running from the date it was created to the nearest half-year end, either June 30th or December 31st, whichever falls within 6 months.
The window length varies depending on when you create the account. For example:
- Account created March 1st → window runs until June 30th (~4 months)
- Account created September 1st → window runs until December 31st (~4 months)
- Account created January 1st → window runs until June 30th (~6 months)
The earlier in a half-year you create an account the longer the window, so timing matters.
