TikTok ad credits work on a simple spend-to-match basis: hit a spend threshold, and TikTok credits the same amount back to the ad account. Before credits can be activated, the account first needs to be submitted to TikTok for review — once approved, everything is automatic.
The key is timing. Credits are only available in the early days of a new account, so it pays to submit early and get campaigns running quickly.
Credits aren't activated automatically — the account first needs to be submitted to TikTok for review. Once approved, the coupon is assigned to the ad account and credits apply as spend thresholds are hit.

⚠️ Don't leave submission too late. The 60-day new account window starts from creation, not from when you submit. Get the form in early.

There are two windows to be aware of, and they work together:
The new account window — 60 days
From the moment an ad account is created, TikTok considers it new for 60 days. Only spend that happens during these first 60 days counts towards the credit.
The spend window — 30 days
The moment the account starts spending, TikTok opens a 30-day window and tracks spend within it. Whatever is spent in this window determines which credit tier is unlocked.

⚠️ You have 60 days from account creation, but the 30-day spend window must sit entirely within that period. Start spending within the first 30 days to ensure the full window fits — the later your client starts, the less runway they have.
