Free ad credits applied automatically to new accounts.

TikTok ad credits work on a simple spend-to-match basis: hit a spend threshold, and TikTok credits the same amount back to the ad account automatically. No manual redemption needed.

The key is timing. Credits are only available in the early days of a new account, so it pays to get campaigns running quickly.

How the timing works

There are two windows to be aware of, and they work together:

The new account window — 60 days

From the moment an ad account is created, TikTok considers it new for 60 days. Only spend that happens during these first 60 days counts towards the credit.

The spend window — 30 days

The moment the account starts spending, TikTok opens a 30-day window and tracks spend within it. Whatever is spent in this window determines which credit tier is unlocked.

⚠️ Think of it this way: you have a 30-day head start from account creation to get spending going. The 30-day spend window must sit entirely inside the first 60 days, so the earlier your client starts spending, the more runway they have. Don't leave it too late!

Credit tiers

All tiers are spend-to-match — hit the threshold, get the same amount credited back.

Currency Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tier 5 Tier 6
USD $250 → $250 $500 → $500 $1,000 → $1,000 $4,000 → $4,000 $6,000 → $6,000 $10,000 → $10,000
GBP £190 → £190 £380 → £380 £750 → £750 £3,000 → £3,000 £4,500 → £4,500 £7,500 → £7,500
EUR €220 → €220 €430 → €430 €850 → €850 €3,400 → €3,400 €5,100 → €5,100 €9,000 → €9,000

Missing a threshold by even a small amount means you don't unlock that tier. For example, if you spend $249, you will not qualify for ad credits.
